What pays for Also Known As
Also Known As takes a commission on the paid links of its home page, and each of them is marked Ad. No payment ever comes from venues, operators, BCLC, PlayNow or help services, and no other part of the site is paid for.
Three links, one page
Paid placements number three on the home page, every one labelled Ad. The first is in the menu. Another fills a block just beneath the opening screen, and the last appears in a block toward the bottom. Whichever is clicked, it ends at one partner, an online casino.
The site earns a commission from these links. That partner may change. No inner page has paid links, and that includes the nine casino pages.
What the partner is
The partner behind those links is an online casino run privately. PlayNow it is not, and neither its operation nor its licence comes from any provincial body. Nothing connects it with BCLC, with any of the guide's nine casinos or with the Independent Gambling Control Office (IGCO). Residents of BC who play on it are left without any of the province's safeguards. Game Break does not reach that site, PlayNow limits do not either, and the IGCO will not hear complaints about it.
In B.C., only one site offers legal online gambling: PlayNow.com, run by BCLC. On August 28, 2026, the IGCO stated that any other website offering online gambling to BC players acts illegally within the province.

This site receives no money from venues, operators, BCLC, PlayNow or help services. Links pointing to casinos and help services carry no payment. A name, a date or an owner on these pages cannot be bought, and no casino pays for a line in its own history.
