The other four carry their towns in their names: Starlight Casino New Westminster, Elements Casino Surrey, Cascades Casino Delta and Cascades Casino Langley.

Online play in BC

Only one site offers legal online gambling in British Columbia: BCLC's PlayNow.com. August 28, 2026: the IGCO, BC's Independent Gambling Control Office, said that every other site taking BC players operates illegally. Online gambling, like every other form, is for people 19 or older.

Paid links on the home page, marked Ad, go to an online casino run privately. PlayNow is a different operation; the province neither operates this casino nor grants it a licence. PlayNow limits and Game Break carry no weight on it. A Game Break agreement reaches BC gaming facilities and PlayNow.com but stops short of other online sites. The site gets a commission from those links; the partner may be swapped.

Free help, any hour

The caller is put through to a navigator, who can give immediate help, locate nearby services or link them with a free counsellor.
Game Break: free, voluntary self-exclusion; a person picks 3 years, 2 years, 1 year or 6 months, and that choice is final.

August 15, 2025: Fraser Downs in Surrey closes abruptly after the City of Surrey ends the lease. Its last harness races were run on May 2. The casino at the track, Elements Casino Surrey, stayed open. The page Hastings since the last race follows what changed after.
